Royal Palace Floor Rugs
Beautiful one of a kind patchwork rugs made from vintage hand-knotted woollen carpets
Our patchwork floor rugs are made using fragments of vintage carpets loomed in Iran, India, and Nepal. Many of the recycled pieces are from antique carpets that are partially damaged and beyond use as normal carpets; this gives the patchwork design history and a distinct character. The type of weaving varies in each fragment from 150,000 knots per square metre up to 600,000 and more. Each fragment of antique carpet is carefully selected, over-dyed, and stitched together to create a harmonious collage of traditional carpets. Every design transforms the ancient craft of rug making into a one of a kind artwork.
Our Royal Palace floor rugs are unique and can be individually selected by you. For assistance in selecting your one-of-a kind floor rug please contact our customer services team.
Care & Cleaning
This product is made with vintage carpets using patchwork and over-dyeing techniques. Due to the handmade process of creating patchwork rugs from recycled carpets each Royal Palace rug is unique. To extend the life of this product take care when cleaning and avoid washing as damage and colour migration can occur when wet. This rug can be vacuumed domestically and cleaned commercially through specialised carpet cleaning processes.
